Over Toilet Storage - A Useful Small Bathroom Idea

The design of your bathroom can be one of the most important of the interior design challenges you face with your home. Unless you are fortunate, the bathroom will be one of the smallest rooms in the home. If that is the case, you will need to think through as many small bathroom ideas as you can. This is so when planning the entire bathroom, to include the bathtub, shower, toilet, vanity and so on. Storage, though, is a particular concern with a small bathroom.

One of the most useful small bathroom ideas to consider is over toilet storage. While the storage needs of a bathroom are not as great as, say, a bedroom or the kitchen. They do exist. A bathroom linen cabinet, for example, can store your clean towels and bathrobes; while an over toilet cabinet can be used to store your month’s supply of toilet tissue in the most convenient place imaginable. Over toilet shelves can be used for open display of plants or ornaments, or for essentials you want kept handy such as spare bottles of shampoos.

The choice of over the toilet space savers may not be as great as, for example, bathroom vanity units. However, you can usually find something that will match you bathroom if it is white, chrome, or wood finishes you are seeking. If you have a different color scheme for the bathroom, then you can always paint a wooden toilet étagère the color of your choice.
